Clearout revised additional dates

    Please help! We have to clearout almost everything as there is more fabric coming in. Shopping online is your best bet. Prices for 2+ m of the same fabric adjustments will be made at our end.

If you come to the home studio, please be patient as we are doing the best we can.

    We are clearing out almost everything so that we can concentrate on in-house classes, 1-day sew days and 3-day retreats. We will continue carry certain fabrics and some notions for your convenience but not the full range that we have today.

    Therefore, we ask your help at finding new homes for what we have. If you come to the Home Studio, please wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer provided at the door because we want everyone to be safe.

Moving Distancing

 

   March 16 Quiltnasium became the first in Calgary online / phone order and curbside pick up quilt shop. A couple days later we decided to start our move instead of waiting until today. Everyday Terry, the GMC Terrain, was loaded up with fabric and quilt supplies and delivered to the new Studio back at home where we originally began. Day by day, bit by bit, load by load. There are boxes organized everywhere again in the house/Studio waiting for shelving and display stands. Not to worry, everything is online for ordering and we know which box to find it.
   Unfortunately, some programs are postponed until the socializing is healthy and safe again. We are going back to fb live in the meantime.

  Even the mice are self isolating.

Week of Yellow

   It's Spring! Well, it's finally above 0 C/32 F. It's t-shirts and shorts weather and beer on the patio weather. It's a sunny yellow, or should I say Limoncello, week. Love this fabric. A make you feel good fabric. We wrote the instructions for the design by TailorMade by Design. Kits will be available later this week on Quiltnasium.com. You can actually make this quilt top in ONE day.

   Next are the Splendid Sampler II blocks in our version Sunnyside Up.

Are you ready?

   The studio,Quiltnasium, is almost ready to open. If we wait to be absolutely ready it will never open, so, Wednesday is the first day 10a to 4p at rear entrance of #4, 12110 40 Street SE in Calgary. Parking is limited. More details will be posted on facebook page.

If you were around when we opened the quilt store in 2003, not only was it scary to us but also scary to the customer. The same is true for the studio. Now you have to know that this is not a full blown quilt store that you are use to, but a sewing your quilt studio where you can purchase supplies and sew and learn stuff, socially and quiltingly. 

   Last Thursday the next set of 4 Splendid Sampler II blocks were shown. How many of you are keeping up? I am just barely. The Star Plus Block by Cheryl Brickley let me go Dutch Treat by Pat Sloan.

Next, the Connection by Sheri Cifaldi Morrill led me to be In My Own Little Corner by Shannon Gillman Orr.

I had problems connecting Connection. Did you notice? Below shows how the ruler was centered and cut. Think of it as creative design. Shhsh, don't tell and know one will know.
